Welcome!

We want to build a community based on inclusiveness, where everyone is welcome regardless of age, marital status, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, Jew-by-choice, or Jew-by-birth. When Temple Beth El was founded in 1947, its members dedicated themselves to the creation of a home for living Judaism – a place where newcomers feel welcome, where Jewish ideals are made real, and where education is the key that unlocks the door to a lifetime of Jewish fulfillment and commitment. We are proud of this tradition and hope that your association with us will be spiritually and emotionally satisfying.

Help in Support of Israel

Thanks to our members and an overwhelming response from our friends and neighbors in Bakersfield and all over the country, Temple Beth El has been able to donate over $35,000 to Israeli humanitarian agencies.  It is a good start, but the need continues.  If you would like to help, you can make a donation HERE.

At Temple Beth El, we are always ready to celebrate!

Now you can let everybody know that you are ready to celebrate as well AND help support TBE at the same time.  WIN-WIN!  Follow this link to order your t-shirts, pullover or zip hoodies in children and adult sizes.
